Steiner College will follow 3 models of teaching depending on the prevaling conditions.

 

School holds the right to implement and switch among any of these models at any given time.

From 28th - 30th April school will function online.

1. ONLINE SCHOOL

 

Lessons will be taught online according to the usual timetable 

 

And

 

Students/parent will be requested to come to school at a set time to collect and/or drop of weekly work

 

2. HYBRID SCHOOL

Teacher will be in school students have the flexibility to join lessons at school or from home.

 

Or

 

Along with online lessons, students will be requested to attend school on 1 or more days a week.

 

3. ON-SITE SCHOOL

School will function physically with 2 shifts of reduced school hours and reduced student numbers daily

Safety & Security Guidelines (2019)

General

• A sweep of the school premises by the authorities will be carried out before school re-opens.
• Permission has been obtained for a Police Officer to be stationed within school premises.
• Checking of bags will be carried out before entering the building in the mornings.
• In the event of a family/medical emergency please contact the school office to make arrangements to pick your child up.
• It is important that you are contactable in an emergency. All contact details must be accurate and contactable. Please inform the school in writing if there is a change in your contact details. An emergency contact detail form is attached herewith. Kindly complete same and submit to respective class teachers on the first day of the term.
• Students must be picked by latest 2.15pm during school days unless they are participating in extra-curricular activities. 
• All extra-curricular activities will conclude on or before 3pm until further notice. Parents will be informed of rescheduled times and/or days of any activities.
• Arrangements to issue identifications for parents and car stickers are being made and you will be notified in due course of same.

Articles

• No parcels and packages (inclusive of bags, food, cakes etc.) will be accepted by the school at any time.
• Students are encouraged to bring their school books and any required items in transparent bags.
• Please send a change of light clothing with your child’s name & class attached, in a transparent bag or pouch to the class teacher to be kept at school.

Students travelling by school vans

• It is imperative that the school is informed if your child is traveling by van provide the following details via email on/before 10^th May, 2019 of the following – name, ID number, contact number of van driver and vehicle number of the van.
